Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks! Michael Reply With Quote 11-15-2005,07:39 PM #2 mfsumption View Profile View Forum Posts New User (0 Posts) Join Date Mar 2005 Posts 2 I figured it out. I set permissions on the application directory for a specific account. I assume that InstallShield replaces permissions rather than just adding them, because when I tried to access the directory afterwards in Windows Explorer, it said "access denied" and I was logged in as an administrator. So I guess you have to specify all the regular accounts also when setting permissions for a directory in the InstallShield project. Adobe Reader icons take over desktop icons In Windows 7, when adobe reader is installed, it takes over desktop icons, links no longer work. I uninstalled adobe reader, and everything was normal. When I reinstalled Adobe reader, again, most desktop icons were covered by Adobe icon.I used CC Cleaner, file type associations. I had to install Foxit Reader. I would like to be able to reinstall Adobe Reader' Error 1935 when installing Adobe Reader An error occuued during the installation of assembly component: Error 1935: {B708EB72-AA82-3EB7-8BB0-D845BA35C93D} HRRESULT:0x8007005I think something has happened to the registry or the Windows installer. Everytime I try to install Adobe Reader it will stop at 96% then give me this error after 30 mins of waiting. I have downloaded the Adobe Reader Enterprise Version and it installs and fully functions, however nothing else can be installed and when I do try to install something it rolls back Adobe reader and says that the installation is still being performed in the back ground.I have also tried to install ITunes and it stops at the end of installation and just freezes as well. I have disabled anti virus, deleted anti virus and disabled firewall etc.No luck. I have downloaded the Adobe cleaning software and cleaned Adobe off my machine with no avail. Also Windows update is not functioning and Windows Fix It tool is not functioning. I have tried everything except rebuilding the registry or a clean install. I have never experienced anything like this. Maybe it's the .net frame work, not sure.
