versions of Quickbooks. Old versions are using huge amounts of hard drive space. We tried to delete the old versions using the "control panel" approach. When we do this the un-install fails because we are missing the Data1.cab file. Once you have the temp folder, please delete all temp files. If it will not allow you to delete other files, that's fine. As long as all other temp files are deleted. Close temp folder. Run Reboot.bat http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/Articles/HOW12420 Uninstall the old version again and Check if it will uninstall successfully. Will wait for your reply. thanks!=) Was this answer helpful? Yes No IntuitNed Employee 4 comments × Close Why do you want to report this? Spam Profanity Threats/Abuse Inappropriate Virus/Danger Broken Links Other I followed your instructions. (Windows XP) It did not solve my problem. A note... You said it was important so I should mention it. On the step: Reboot.bat, it never gave me the option to 'run as admin'. When I right clicked, it gave me Open, so I did this. It did everything you said it would. DOS window...rapid scroll...closed on its own. I tried the uninstall and got the same message as before. Error 1311.
