Source file not found: [drive]:\[product name][product version]\data1.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.” Solutions Errors 1311, 1335, and 2350 occur when the installer is unable to access the necessary files from the DVD/CD-ROM drive. These errors can also occur if antivirus software interferes with an installation, or if the installation files are compressed. Solution 1: Check the product installer disc. Make sure that the DVD or CD-ROM from which you are installing is free of dirt and debris. If necessary, clean the DVD/CD-ROM with a soft, lint-free cloth. Ensure that the installation disc is inserted into the drive letter identified in the error message. Note: Many computers have more than one DVD/CD-ROM drive. Solution 2: Temporarily disable antivirus software, and then install the product. For instructions, see the documentation for the antivirus software or contact the manufacturer. Solution 3: Install the product from the desktop. CS3: Follow the instructions in Install Adobe Creative Suite 3 from the desktop (Windows XP and Windows Vista) (kb400609).CS4: Follow the instructions in Install Adobe Creative Suite 4 or point products from the desktop (Windows XP and Windows Vista) (kb403963).PSE: Create a folder on the desktop. The project requirements require the data to be provided in a CAB format – with an MSI file external to the CAB. By changing the setting within the Release Wizard to Media Type CD-ROM I was able to get the file structure I was looking for. However when I try to install the package on another computer I get the following error message: Error 1311. Source file not found: C:\WINNT|Downloaded Installations\{#}\ Data1.CAB. Verify https://community.flexerasoftware.com/showthread.php?135248-Error-1311-CAB-file that the file exists, and that you can access it. I believe that the user computer is not able to access the contents of the CAB file; and since Setup and the MSI are external to the CAB the install simply fails. Do I need to include a Merge Module or some other type of scripting in order for the user computer to be able to access the CAB file and complete the install? Or am I completely off base and need to use another approach? Does the issue described in this Microsoft KB article apply: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;325076? Things work fine doing a network install and creating just 1 single setup.exe but using the cd-rom type I get the exact same error. Also logged in as system admin and verified that the cd-rom restriction is not in place. Reply With Qu

Hello :-) This seems to be more of a MS WinXP problem than Borlands. Try some of these error 1311 delphi steps see if it helps, 1) Start the Registry Editor and locate the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon Change the value for the AllocateCDRoms entry to 0. 2) If that deosn't help try some of the suggestions listed here, http://support.microsoft.com/search/preview.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q284250 3)Try to copy the CD contents to the HardDrive and install from there. It consists of compressed files, in a single file. And no I don't have the file you are asking for. _________________ Back to top SymbolI'm a spammerReputation: 0Joined: 18 Apr 2007Posts: 5097Location: Israel.
