Source file not found: C: \MSOCache\ALL Users\900000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9\YT561401CAB. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_other-update/microsoft-office-edition-2003-installation-error/221ba623-6117-4271-8854-d7dd53cc0c8e Verify that the file exists and that you can access it. I had a error message earlier that said.... SKU011.CAB and I was advised to: Regedit (start menu -> run -> type regedit) Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Microsoft -> Office -> 11.0 -> Delivery There should be only 1 directory under Delivery, which is your DownloadCode (mine was 90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9). Select that directory. On the right side of the screen, right-click on CDCache. http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/error-1311-source-file-not-found-c-msocache-all-i-dont-have-the-cd-to-reinstall.147821/ Change the value to 0. I'm not sure if that was good advice or not because it got rid of one error message but left another...... I have used this microsoft office 2003 program for years with no problem. I don't have a cd for it so I can't reboot it. I think I might of accidentally erased something that was important for it....that is the only thing I can think of but I did a system restore to an earlier time and it didn't help. I don't know what else to do. Please please help....Word is very important to me..Thank you in advance!! Oh by the way...VERY IMPORTANT!! I DOWNLOADED A SUPPOSED FIX FROM THIS WEBSITE. W W W. Written on January 20th 2010 at 12:33. Last modified: January 20, 2011 Looking for SKU001.CAB? When doing a number of things with Microsoft Office such as reinstalling it, repairing it, installing SP3, etc the error SKU001.CAB is missing http://www.proposedsolution.com/solutions/ms-office-problem-sku001-cab-is-missing/ may appear looking for a CD or other installation files. It seems that even if you have the Microsoft Office files on your hard drive or if you insert your original CD that it still can't find this cab http://www.textndata.com/forums/error-1311-a-13311.html file. This error may also occur when simply launching any of the applications in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel or Powerpoint particularaly after an crash or a previous update was applied which is very annoying indeed. Common error 1311 Symptoms When re-installing, repairing, upgrading or just launching an application from the Microsoft Office suite the error "SKU001.CAB is missing" appears. Explanation This error is occurring because a registry entry is incorrectly set and setup is looking in the wrong place. Solution - Change CDCACHE Registry Entry If you still have the error message on your screen then close down all open windows including the error so that you have no programs running. Click Start > source file not Run Type regedit and hit ENTER or click OK You should see the navigation tree in the left pane. Navigate to the following keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Software Microsoft Office 11.0 Delivery Inside the Delivery Key there should be one more key which is a long string of numbers for example: 90103207-6000-11A1-9CEE-1160028683D9 Click on the key and then you should see some entries in the right hand pane. Double click on the entry CDCache Change the value to 0 Important Note Depending on your version of Microsoft Office the registry path may be different. The above path and delivery key is only examples. Yours will look similar but not necessarily identical. The important entry to find is the CDCACHE entry. Click OK and then exit the Registry and retry the MS Office installation. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it." I can see the file using explorer, but the installation doesn't seem to be able to access it. The file must be corrupt or defective, but it doesn't show anything weird. Does anyone have any idea of what can be done now? winna Reply With Quote 08-01, 05:29 AM #2 Error 1311 First, is the CD the orginal or is it a copy you made? If it is a copy it probably won't work and give an error like that. If its the orginal, try cleaning the back, if that doesn't work buy a new CD because there is something wrong with the CD. do not to of Ryan Reply With Quote 08-19, 12:53 AM #3 Error 1311 I keep getting this message when i try to set up Office Xp small business ERROR 1311, SOURCE FILE NOT FOUND OFFICE1.CAB Can any help??
