If you are running any anti-virus/firewall software, it is recommended to disable the same during JRE download/install. SP2 CZ A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM : When installing JDK 6 using Windows offline (.exe) installer, after selection of desired parts (JDK, JRE, sources etc.) and installer doing some work, https://community.oracle.com/thread/1318447?start=15&tstart=0 it pops window with following message: Error 1311: Source file not found: C:\Documents and Settings\User\Data aplikaci\Sun\Java\jdk1.6.0\ss160000.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it. with "Retry" and "Cancel" buttons. "Retry" doesn't work, "Cancel" aborts installation (after confirmation). File is there, readable. CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND : Move unpacked cabs and msi files to directory without spaces/diacritics in it (tried one without both, don't know what exactly of these two is the problem). To verify or check the error if occured, I manually installed Java in Vista systems which given the below mentioned error after running the exe file. Error: 25099 Unzipping core files failed.
