multiple systems on our network. Most (except for 1) of the computers are windows 7 systems. We're using Acrobat X Standard and I was updating from 10.0.0 to 10.1.3. I ran the update on 30 systems and only had issues on 5 of them (1 windows xp). The other 25 system were running windows xp. I can not find any reliable information online on what this error means or how to fix it. I data1.cab file did try a suggestion from another site to try each incremental update from 10.0.1 through 10.1.3, but this failed as well. These machines are spread between 4 different offices and I am hoping there is a solution besides reloading the software from scratch (the disks and product keys stay with the computers). The specific error I receive says - "Error 1334. The file 'wcfirefoxextn.dll' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'Data1.cab'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package."I have redownloaded the install package a few times and still received the error. I have also attempted to use the update function within acrobat x. 3493Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 4 replies 1. Sabian Zildjian Jul 12, 2012 7:05 AM (in response to swankydope) According to Microsoft a MSI 1334 error means the windows installer is having a problem writing to file ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa372835(v=vs.85).aspx ).Try rebootingCleari

Source file not found: [drive]:\[product name][product version]\data1.cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.” Solutions Errors 1311, 1335, and 2350 occur when the installer is unable to access the necessary files from the DVD/CD-ROM drive. These errors can also occur if antivirus software interferes with an installation, or if the installation files are compressed. Solution 1: Check https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/install-error-1311-1335-or.html the product installer disc. Make sure that the DVD or CD-ROM from which you are installing is free of dirt and debris. If necessary, clean the DVD/CD-ROM with a soft, lint-free cloth. Ensure that the installation disc is inserted into the drive letter identified in the error message. Note: Many computers have more than one DVD/CD-ROM drive. AMHelp! I'm getting an error 1334 running my setup where it says a file is not found in the data1.cab. I've checked and the file http://community.flexerasoftware.com/archive/index.php?t-96263.html is in the data1.cab. Any ideas anyone? TIA Ian bselvindurai05-24-2002, 10:31 AMHi, I had a working project, I just modified it to delete some files and add some files. After http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18377826/error-1334-file-cannot-be-found-in-the-data1-cab which the Build process was successful. But on running the setup.exe, I get this ERROR 1334 "The File xxxxxx cannot be installed, because the file cannot be found in the error 1311 DATA1.CAB" Any ideas...why this is happening. Thanks ChrisCoble05-24-2002, 02:25 PMI'm having this same problem. Has anyone come up with a solution yet? God, do I have to go back to 7.02 or something? yan00005-24-2002, 02:39 PMThe same story with my installation, but in addition, file SHOULD NOT be in cabinet at all. It is excluded by a release flag. And error 1311 source it fails not on all machines. ChrisCoble05-24-2002, 02:41 PMWith 7.03 installed, just add/remove some files from a project. I've built my setup on WinXP, and it installs properly on XP as well. When I take that self extracting exe over to a WinME box, I get the 1334 error. PLEASE, can a developer addresses this issue ASAP? A workaround, anything? Starting from scrach and recreating my install is not a solution for me, to much time invested in getting the installer setup properly. Only days away from release now and a bug prevents me from creating a releasable install. For now all I can do is uninstall 7.03 and salvage an old 7.02 project file and hopefully I can remember everything I've changed in the project since I installed 7.03. Makes me wonder if I'll ever install a maintenance release again, it just takes the product backward. RichAquino05-24-2002, 05:15 PMHi All, From reading thru the community posts, I highly doubt that this issue is specific to 7.03. So, rolling back to 7.02 would probably be a waste

I have a software installation package which contains the .msi file, a CAB file and some MST files. I wanted to modify the cabinet file. So I extracted the cab file using CABARC utility. But before making any changes to the extracted files, just for testing the utility I removed the original cab file from the current directory. And created a new cab file from the files extracted from the original cab file, again using CABARC utility. But now if I run the .msi file, it shows the error: ERROR:1334. The file "XYZ" cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in the cabinet file Data1.cab. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. But the file is present in the cabinet file I can see that. The same installer is working fine with the original cab file. I have tried different compression types (MSZIP, LZX:<15...21>) as well, but none of them work. I have not removed/added any file in the cabinet file. Am I doing anything wrong or if there is any other information that a cabinet file stores ? Thanks. windows wix windows-installer installer cab share|improve this question edited Dec 21 '15 at 14:19 Henrik 1,518721 asked Aug 22 '13 at 10:23 rsKRISH 128113 1 Did you ever find anything out? –granadaCoder Jul 14 '14 at 13:41 Did you get the solution for the above problem?
