The error is: Error 1311. Source file not found: E:\SKU112.CAB. Verify that the file exists http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/error-1311-when-installing-ms-office-home-and/4ef17bea-e58f-4420-bc17-006ed9e5dc81 and that you can accesss it. No, i checked the file is not there, but i used the disk a week before on the sam pc and it worked just fine. The reason, if you are wondering why i am using it on the same pc, is that i uninstalled it and several other programs. When I try installing the upgrade from cd, it comes up with error 1311: Can't find source file E:\sku111.cab. What should I do? 0 Advertisements #2 Jrenter2 Posted 01 March 2007 - 01:27 PM Jrenter2 Member Member 435 posts Hi Kat232,Here is something for you to try. The files should be on the Microsoft Office Professional 2003 disk. But in order for the installer to find the files you need to allow the system to show hidden files, and also not hide extensions. here is how: 1.Click Start, and then click My Computer. 2. Click Folder Options on the Tools menu. 3. Click the View tab. 4. Click Show hidden files and folders under Hidden files and folders. 5. Clear the Hide file extensions for known file types check box. Next run your Office program that gives you problems and then when you browse to show it the files, just select your cdrom/dvdrom drive where your disk is. When the install is complete, go back and hide your files/folders again.Hope this helps. Found what I needed to anyway. Unfortunatley, allowing the system to see every single possible file did no good. Office Home and Student 2007 still says the same error - Sour
