Re: Error 1311 Source file not found 843804 Mar 11, 2010 6:55 PM (in response to 843804) I would like to thank the contributors to this forum. You pointed me in the direction of resolving this difficult problem. The links showed me that it was norton anti-virus 360 which was conflicting with the java jdk and preventing it from being installed. I had to completely remove norton anti-virus and also completely remove java jre. I then had to re-install java jre, and then install java jdk. This proved succcessful. After that I then re-installed norton anti-virus. It was a lot of hassle but i now have everything working fine. We should contact Sun and inform them about this conflict between Java jdk and norton anti-virus. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 1 2 Previous Next Go to original post Actions P

The following tutorial will explain how to extract the jre1.6.0_#.msi and data1.cab files from the ccleaner offline Java installer for deployment via Active Directory/Group Policy. Download the offline JRE installer from one of the following locations: - jre-6u#-windows-i586-s.exe http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp https://community.oracle.com/thread/1318447?start=15&tstart=0 Run the installer and but don't begin installation. Whilst the installer is still open, navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Sun\Java\jre1.6.0_# and copy the contents of this folder to a safe location. The contents must include Data1.cab and jre1.6.0_#.msi The contents of Data1.cab must include: core.zip patchjre.exe regutils.dll zipper.exe Test http://www.itninja.com/question/how-to-package-java-runtime-environment-jre the installer by ammending and running the following command, the /qb will perform a quit install (no questions!) msiexec /i c:\

Solved Windows Installer Error 1311 Source File not error 1311 found Posted on 2012-06-08 Windows OS Windows 7 3 Verified Solutions 13 Comments 2,459 Views Last Modified: 2012-06-24 I am attempting to install a program on a Windows 7 machine. I have run this particular installer without any difficulty on another Windows 7 machine, so it's not a corrupt installer. It's packaged as a .exe ... which I run source file not ... and it unpacks itself into a users/Username/appdata/... subfolder In that subfolder I find an MSI file, a .aiui file (since the installer was built using Advanced Installer) and disk1.cab. It gathers all its information, including which features to install. It then pops an error claiming that the disk1.cab file cannot be found. It lists the full file path -- where disk1.cab exists. Both the logged in user and the Administrators group have Full Control rights on the file. I've tried just double-clicking the .exe as well as right-clicking and choosing Run as Administrator with identical results. Using Google, I find lots of articles that apply only if installing from a CD. There's a security policy option that specifically blocks CD access to users other than the one locally logged in. But this isn't on a CD. It's sitting in the user's Downloads folder. What should I try on this? Thanks! 0 Question by:Daniel Wilson Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 32 Best Solution byDaniel Wilson As it turns out, the install set was corrupted during
