from website/ad based attacks, but I also found that I was running three different installations of java including two for 32-bit and one for 64-bit. I figured the easy thing to do was remove all of them, then add back the freshest version of one I needed for my Eclipse IDE to work. Uninstall went fairly well, but I had problems when I tried to install the quickbooks install diagnostic tool download 64-bit version of java. Every time I installed it, I would get: Error 1335: The cabinet file Data1.cab required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. I tried lots of different things from the googles, but it took a combination of things to get it to finally install... Here's what I did to get the install for win7 64-bit java to work: Clean out your TEMP folder. (Open a cmd window and: "cd %TEMP%" then "cd .." and "rmdir temp /s" [you may need to disable some running services to get everything to clear out]) Disable your anti-virus real-time scan. Download the Win7 64-bit version of java using the manual download from here http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp Optionally, move the download to your desktop or some other folder so it isn't starting from downloads. (I keep a fixes folder on my system where all the downloads I have are saved in folders named each vendor.) Right-click the file and click "Run as administrator" Follow the prompts and java 64-bit should now install. Be sure to enable your anti-virus real-time scan. The key steps are to disable your antivirus and install using the "Run as Administrator" option. Cleaning the TEMP

Error 1335 when installing J2SE SDK 1.4.2_0X Steve Hart Greenhorn Posts: 2 error 1311 data1.cab free download posted 12 years ago Hi, I'm having serious trouble trying to install the Java error 2350 fdi server error 2 SDK onto my PC. I have tried installing 2 different versions; j2sdk-1_4_2_03-windows-i586-p, and j2sdk-1_4_2_04-windows-i586-p. Both are the offline installation versions which cabinet file error I burned to separate CD-ROMs in the last 4 months or so. Whenever I try to install either version, I get the following error message during the "copying of files" stage of the installation process: "Error http://www.mojocode.com/content/java-installation-issues-windows-7-64-bit-error-1335-data1cab 1335. The cabinet file 'Data1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package." The system I am trying to install it on is an Athlon 2600 with 256mb of RAM, running Win XP Home Edition with Service Pack One. The strange thing is, is it that it is only this PC which https://coderanch.com/t/326193/java/java/Error-installing-SE-SDK the problem occurs on. I have successfully installed the 1_4_2_03 version of the SDK onto my (rather antiquated) laptop, which has an AMD K6 400MHz, 96mb of RAM, and running Windows 98. Also, I have just successfully installed the 1_4_2_04 version onto another different PC, which has an AMD K6 450MHz, 96mb of RAM and running Windows ME. Both of these versions were installed off the very same CDs that are causing me all the problems mentioned above with my PC running XP, so it suggests that there is no problem of corruption of the installation files. I have only managed to find information about this problem on a couple of other sites, and I have tried every one of the suggestions that people in a similar predicament have tried. These failed attempts include: - Performing a 'clean boot' before installing the SDK. - Swapping the slots that the PC's memory modules are in. - Format of hard drive and complete re-installation of Windows. I really am at a complete loss as to how to get Java up and running on my PC, so if anyone out there knows how to fix the problem, please, please let me know. Thanks, Steve. I run the setup.exe asadministrator, but problems still error 1335 the occur. The error gives me three options, "Abort", "Retry" or "Ignore". Sometimes, though rarely, hitting "retry" will allow the install to continue. Usually, I have to abort and try the install later. If I attempt the install later from a network location, it may work. If I attempt the install from a installer copied to the local C: drive, it will always fail if it fails the first time. This error has occured for several different programs - Adobe Acrobat Standard 9, NetBackup 7.1 (server), nVidia display drivers, etc. - AND on multiple computers. These computers are connected at different locations of the office (server room, IT room, office desks, etc). I've had no other reported network problems or any issues copying data over outside of this. Has anyone encountered problems where the Data1.cab for any program coming over the network gets corrupt? It seems some
