I got the same error 1st time. I suspected google chrome corrupting the download files and used mozilla to download (since it does not have any word processing software. hopefully, it wont do such a thing). It installed without any erros.Salman Amoodi( 2015-03-28 03:04:28 +0200 )editadd a comment 6 answers Sort by ยป old
I have twice run my Office XP Pro CD, and each time, partway into installation, received the following error message: Office XP Setup Error 1335. The cabinet file 'OFFICE1.CAB' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. I tried once on my CD-RW and once on my DVD-ROM, and got the same message. What can I do? Thanks in advance for your help. Susan Ramlet, Dec 30, 2003 #2 Advertisements Lee Guest Dear Susan, Sorry to take so long replying. The article you suggested did the trick. I used a microfiber cloth to wipe the CD, and a lens cleaning disk in the CD-ROM. Voila! Everything worked. Hope your new year is off to a good start.
