Please indicate accurate version of each package you are trying to install. [19 Jun 2007 10:51] paolo lanzoni I have Vista Italian version 64 Ultimate edition ( just got the new pc ), all service pack applied. I finally was able to install 5.0 GA , but I'm still not able to install the ODBC driver 3.5 and 5.0 (3.5 install fine but I don't see the driver loaded when I tri https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=29204 to create the odbc connection from the control panel, 5.0 give the error and don't install )and the tools 5.0 . Tried both v. 5.0, v.6.0 and the Win tools. Same error every time. I had downloaded from the Norwegian mirror site. Then I downloaded the 6.0 version from a UK site, and the installation went OK. Seems to be some kind of error in the install files on some morror sites.... [19 Jun 2007 14:42] paolo lanzoni Yes Stein is right, most mirrors have files that don't install correctly, also those files have wrond MD5 signature, so now I'm up and running except for the ODBC wich I need badly. When I install ( the one I found who have the correct MD5 ) all seem OK no error but when I go to the ODBC Manager I can see only the MSSQL driver installed ! Any suggestion, thanks a lot. Error Message A Service Pack installation may fail with an 'Error 1335' message similar to the following:"The cabinet file 'PCW_CAB_78CB96C9' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package."Note:The actual cabinet (CAB) filename may differ from the above example. Cause A CAB file in the service pack installation package is corrupt. When downloading the installation files for service packs or patches from the Internet, certain proxy server or firewall settings can cause the .cab file to become corrupted. Solution or Workaround Either download the service pack or full software product setup on a network that is not managed by a proxy server, or contact ESRI Customer Service to request a copy of the required installation media (DVD).
