"Error 1335" installing FSX Started by Mace , Jun 05 2009 01:15 AM Please log in to reply 7 replies to this topic #1 Mace Mace Member - 5,000+ Members 5,038 posts Posted 05 June 2009 - 01:15 AM I was reinstalling FSX tonight (twice!) and encountered an error both times when the install was almost done. Here is the error message:Error 1335. The cabinet file 'D2Fea-17.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package.Abort, Retry, Ignore are the options...Ignore kicks me out of the install. Retry gives the same message. I didn't try Abort but I can guess what that does. Before you tell me my DVD 2 is damaged, let me tell you that I take great care of my stuff, and the DVDs have resided safely in their rigid plastic containers for over 2 years now

The cabinet File 'D1Feat~4.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used. This could indicate a netork error, an error reading from the CD-Rom, or a problem with this package" "Abort/Retry/Ignore" When I hit "Ignore" I get error 1335 the "Internal Error 2350". Installing other application is not a problem. This is unique so far to MS Flight Sim X. I Googled the issue and read some posts that this could be a registry issue and recommended RegistrySmart which I have since purchased and run several times yet I continue to get this error. I'm very confused. I've also returned the game for a new one and the error continues. My specs: P4 3.0 Ghz 1 gig RA XP Home SP Nvidia GeForce 7800 GS I appreciate any suggestions on how to resolve this annoying issue. That slightly alters the reflectivity of the disc, which sometimes helps. Nick. Reply With Quote December 25th, 2006,06:54 PM #3 wonderinguy34 View Profile View Forum Posts Virtual PC Specialist!!!
