Deployment Windows Installer (MSI) Windows Installer (MSI) Error Messages Microsoft .NET Framework 2 I'm getting a Windows Installer 1335 error when I install my program on Windows 2000. No errors occur when it is installed on error 1335 cabinet file required installation corrupt XP. I've confirmed that the probelm isn't a bad CD. Also, the install doesn't error 1335 the cabinet file java use any network resources and I tried updating the windows installer to version 3.0. Nothing has worked. Here is the error as error 1335 windows 7 it appears in the install log file. It is basically the same as the error you see during the installation. Error 1335. The cabinet file '_D688138D484689C6C935433D08BFD983' required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be error 1335 java jdk used. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. I've had a similar issue in the past where local security policies prevented the installation of software from CDROM drives. [8D] Keep cool. Have you checked which files are supposed to be inside that particular cabinet file? Otherwise, you could try creating an administrative image (/a) on a network share from your "good" XP machine.

This could indicate a http://kb.winzip.com/kb/entry/135/ network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package." This is a Windows Installer error that may occur for different cabinet file names located on the installation media (usually on CD).To solve this problem, please select Abort on the suggested options. Then reboot your computer, copy the contents of the CD-ROM to your hard disk and error 1335 try to run the installation again locally. To copy the contents of the CD-ROM to your hard disk, do the following:Right-click the desktop, point to New, and then click Folder. Type a name for your folder, such as FPAV, and then press ENTER. Hold down SHIFT and insert the FPAV CD-ROM into the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive. The SHIFT key prevents the Setup program from running automatically. Double-click the My Computer icon on your Desktop. Right-click your CD-ROM cabinet file required or DVD-ROM drive, and then click Explore. On the Edit menu, click Select All. On the Edit menu, click Copy. Right-click the folder that you created in step 2, and then click Paste. Then install F-PROT Antivirus from the FPAV folder on your Desktop. Do the following:Double-click the folder that you created earlier that contains the contents of your FPAV CD-ROM. Double-click the .msi file to start Windows Installer and F-PROT Antivirus Setup. It is suggested in a number of locations mentioning this, that the error might be within the MSI install routine itself. When registration of the engine is corrupted, all attempts to run .msi packages fail. To correct the registration of the Windows Installer, you could unregister and then register the Installer service using the command line switches shown below. This shuts down and reregisters the service, which assures that the Windows Installer engine should function properly. To do this: On the keyboard, press (the Windows key)+R to open Run Type: msiexec /unregister Click OK Repeat steps 1-3, but this time type: msiexec /regserver Note: For both of the commands above there is a space after the term msiexec.
