I have switched USB ports and have reset the computer. I think I have done all the basic things. Is my iPod completely broken?? Expert: Johnny Mack replied4 years ago. No were still far from that. The next step is to delete the restore file. To do this hold the shift key and click on the restore button in itunes( while the ipod is connected) a window should open with the restore file. Delete the file called ipodxx_xx.ipsw. The xs will be other numbers. Then try and restore again.
