QuickBooks Desktop When you install QuickBooks Desktop, you receive the message: Error 1904: error 1904 failed to register business objects [file path / name / extension] failed to register Programs that have failed to register include: ICWrapper.dll, QBPrefs.dll, RcnFndRequestHandler.dll, error 1904 failed to register dll qbupdate.exe. Why this is happening These issues can be caused by an incorrect file setting or a damaged file.
