know why this is happen. FYI I use Windows 7 64-bit. After trying about 3 hours (it waste my time so much) finally I found the solution.1. Uninstall your Adobe Flash player activeX, or you can download the adobe flash player uninstaller here.2. Clean your registry using CCleaner, because how to fix error 1904 module failed to register maybe there's some data left on registry.3. Restart Your Computer4. Close all of your application and install your Adobe Flash Player 9 ActiveX5. When you install it, maybe there's still an error 1904, but don't worry about that. Just finish your installation.6. Go to Command Prompt, and change directory into C:\Windows\sysWOW64\macromed\flash.7. Type regsvr32 flash9d.ocx.This solution works like a charm for me. I have used ERUNT to restore my registry to a date before Flash went wonky (a little more than a week ago). I have tried several different installer links. Some of them refuse to work because they say there is a newer version available. When I check IE7's add-ons, there is no Active-X control for me to enable. I'm at the end of my rope with this, so I hope there will be a fix for it soon. rhondalea Guest November 24th,02:04 AM #2 Re: Flash9 Error 1904 Insoluble Problem Never mind. I found the fix. http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/flashplayer9/releasenotes.html#install Download the Uninstaller Open the Windows Command Prompt ( Run > cmd ). Navigate to the directory where the uninstaller was downloaded. Run "uninstall_flash_player.exe /clean." Do it twice. I don't know why the /clean switch makes a difference, but it does. And I don't know why running it twice is required, but it is. rhondalea Guest November 27th,04:46 PM #3 Re: Flash9 Error 1904 Insoluble Problem WOW! I've been wrangling with this after doing multiple version install/ uninstalls - was stuck with 1904 for the last 24 hrs, this fixed it! in to Go to QuickBooks.com QuickBooks Learn & Support Home QuickBooks Help Last modified QuickBooks Canada, Canada Error 1904 [2] failed to register, when installing QuickBooks Desktop When you install QuickBooks Desktop, you receive the message: Error 1904: [file path / name / extension] failed to register Programs that have failed to register include: ICWrapper.dll, QBPrefs.dll, RcnFndRequestHandler.dll, qbupdate.exe. Why this is happening These issues can be caused by an incorrect file setting or a damaged file. If multiple errors are displayed and they specifically mention the ICWrapper.dll, qbprefs.dll, and qbupdate.exe (among others), then the problem is probably caused by a damaged component of Microsoft Visual C++. This error can also occur if you are installing QuickBooks Desktop after upgrading your operating system (such as from Windows Vista to Windows 7) and your computer was not rebooted after the upgrade. How to fix it Unless you have one of the special cases shown below, you will need to run the QuickBooks Desktop Install tool: Click the Ignore button on the error message and allow the installation to complete. Do not open QuickBooks Desktop. Restart your computer. If the installation did not complete, then download and run the QuickBooks Desktop Install tool. After the tool completes and you reboot again, proceed to installing QuickBooks Desktop again. If the QuickBooks Desktop Install Tool does not work, you can also run the Component Repair Tool. If neither of these resolve the issue, create a new Windows Admin user account and try to install on the new Admin User Special Cases IMPORTANT: If you are installing QuickBooks Desktop 2015 Versions and have Bitdefender anti-virus, you must add the c:\Program Files\Intuit (c:\Program Files(x86)\intuit on a 64 bit machine) to the exclusion list in Bitdefender. Turning off or disabling Bitdefender will not solve the issue. Click here to see how to add the exclusion If you have Sophos anti-virus: On 9/20/
