Error 1904 Crystal Reports 2008 Install
Not sure if this is right Cat. Please redirect as needed.Getting error during install crystal reports error 1904 dll failed to register of CR XI DEV on WinXP.Any ideas how to resolve the issue.Error 1904. Module C:\P..\secldap.dll failed to register.HRESULT -2147024770NE1?Thanx.Edited by: Asim

In most instances, if the install completes, simply register the DLL manually. 1. Click Start and then click Run. 2. In the Open box, type the following command, and then click OK RegSvr32 filenamewhere filename is the name of the file specified in Error 1904. Actually b4 posting, I went through all options (here and web) but no luck. I am not able to register the dll. This is what I get LoadLibrary ("secLDAP.dll") failed - The specified module could not be found. (even though it is the directory)Can't seem to find the answer. That is why I posted for help. After uninstalling and rebooting it would still give the registry error so I checked in the control panel and noticed the service packs were still installed.I removed them it installed without issue.In another forum I read that reinsta

You can also try unregistering and re-registering windows installer on the target machines where it fails. Here is the link: http://scn.sap.com/thread/1860179 Scroll down through all the old wrong and inconclusive answers and find Anders Gustafsson's comments. Rather than leave it at that, like so many posters in these forums do--which become useless when a page is taken down, here is what worked for me based on Anders' post. 1. Use the most recent Crystal Reports for VS, whatever t
receives an error while installing BillQuick in which a ReportSourceBridge.dllthat Crystal Reports uses fails to register properly. The user has a previous installation of Crystal Reports Runtime.A similar error occurs in BillQuick Web Suite.Cause: The user has Crystal Reports 2008 Runtime SP1installed on the system due to which the error occurs. Solution: When you are installing BillQuick (or Web Suite) and get prompted with the above error message, click Ignore. Finish the installation. Once done, you will be able to run the reports.
