Let me start from the beginning describing my problem and then telling you guys ( and girls ) what i have found out so far. I have installed Server 2008 with the latest updates and so on. Then i installed AD and DNS. Again updates. Then i installed IIS, but i did not install ASP in the beginning, forgot it. Then i installed exchange 2007 and after installing the last features it needed http://forums.msexchange.org/404_-_File_or_directory_not_found/m_1800506659/tm.htm i was ready and finished with the installation. But then it started. As i though i just go to my https://localhost/owa i got a popup where i needed to fill in my credentials for logging in. But to bad, i just got an error. As i must add, the error is different logging in locally then logging in remotely ( connecting to the web access page owa ). Locally i get the popup telling me this when i try logging in: HTTP Error 404.17 - Not Found The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler. Detailed Error Information Module StaticFileModule Notification ExecuteRequestHandler Handler StaticFile Error Code 0x80070032 Requested URL https://localhost:443/owa/auth/logon.aspx?url=https://localhost/owa/&reason=0 Physical Path E:\Exchange Server\ClientAccess\owa\auth\logon.aspx Logon Method Anonymous Logon User Anonymous Ok, so then i tried it remotely, after my own pc cause i was working remotely trying to solve this ( not so easy found ) problem. Error as following: Server Error 404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Ok things i have tried: I looked at form based authentication at first cause i thought it would be that problem. But no, form based auth was allready active and changing it didn't solve anything. Then i digged in to the certificates and also trying to connec

Posted on 2013-11-26 SBS Windows 7 1 Verified Solution 6 Comments 2,890 error 404 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-01 We have a single sbs2011 server which we are accessing for this particular user, via OWA. All has been working fine, but since a recent Adobe Flash update (this of course may be nothing to do with the problem), whenever we run OWA using Internet Explorer, we get :- 404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been error 404 file removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Google Chrome works just fine, and we can also use Internet Explorer on various other devices, and all work fine. The problem must be related to this Windows V7 Home / Internet Explorer V11 laptop, but I just cannot find the solution. The OWA screen starts up OK, we can then input the username and password, we then get a flash of the correct OWA page showing check e-mail etc, but we very quickly then get the 404 - File or directory not found. The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable, error page. Other usernames and passwords also produce this error on this particular instance of IE. Can anyone advise what we can do to resolve it?? Many thanks. 0 Question by:nigelbeatson Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google Active 2 days ago Best Solution bynigelbeatson sorted! not sure the reasons behind this, but when we run it in compatibility mode, it works just fine. been working ok for a couple of years now without, so why this would suddenly be required Go to Solution 6 Comments LVL 2 Overall: Level 2 SBS 1 Windo
