I have a Domino 8.5.1 FP3 server running on W2K3 Server Std. I am testing the iwaredirect with a few mail files, and whenever I login as the user I get the following message: "Error 404 HTTP Web Server: Couldn't find design note - mailfile.nsf" (where mailfile is the NSF of the user I am logging in as.) A quick check of the server log confirms this - 20/07/2010 14:49:40 HTTP Web Server: Couldn't find design note - mailfile.nsf [/redir.nsf/mailfile.nsf?OpenDatabase] Is the issue with redir.nsf, or are there missing design elements within the mail file that I am missing? I have tried refreshing/replacing the design of the redir.nsf and the mailfile.nsf to no avail. Any help, or insight, would be greatly appreciated. When you create the form in Domino Designer then try to access it via calling it out in a URL, the following error message occurs: "iNotes Warning. Problem: Application Exception - Couldn't find design note. Solution: Click here to close this window and return to the main window." Example: 1. Open a http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21200852 mail file based on the iNotes6.ntf design in Domino Designer. 2. Create a form called "Test". 3. From your browse, open the mail file in Domino Web Access (DWA). 4. Attempt to change the URL so that it is pointing to your new form, and note that the error message above occurs: http://

Pretty sure I did it correctly, but when I attempt a REST GET request against a test error 404 application, it just returns a 404 all the time. Is there some way I can verify my setup at the server level? On my server log when I make the request, I see this: HTTP Web Server: Couldn't find design note - api/data/documents [/test/testmissupport.nsf/api/data/documents] Anonymous rest lotus-notes lotus-domino share|improve this question edited Nov 19 '13 at 14:48 Panu Haaramo 2,473929 asked Nov 19 '13 at 14:32 Patrick Grimard 2,27722050 This question would be better fit for serverfault.com. –Panu Haaramo Nov 19 '13 error 404 http at 15:04 Any way to move it? –Patrick Grimard Nov 19 '13 at 15:16 I guess no..anyway there are quite many server setup related questions here also. –Panu Haaramo Nov 19 '13 at 15:19 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 5 down vote accepted It might be because Anonymous does not have rights. Be sure to login with full access. To verify at server level use: http://hostname/api For Domino 8.5.3 "server OSGI files must be added to enable the Domino Data Service". These come with Upgrade Pack 1. share|improve this answer edited Nov 19 '13 at 15:03 answered Nov 19 '13 at 14:44 Panu Haaramo 2,473929 Initially, I had Anonymous as no access, but I also tried it with full access and got the same error. At the server level like your example, I get

–Patrick Grimard Nov 19 '13 at 14:50 OK then it does not work. Which version of Domino server? –Panu Haaramo Nov 19 '13 at 14:52 1 DDS should normally return a 403 if access issues. Sounds like DDS is not enabled in the server document, or your URL path is to a non existent NSF. –Simon O'Doherty Nov 19 '13 at 14:56 1 For 8.5.3 you need Upgrade Pack 1. Not sure if ExtLib will do t
