I have quite the puzzling issue. I have WAMP server installed on my WIN7 machine at work, everything was working fine and dandy. Didn't use it for a few weeks because I got pulled into other things. The other day I tried to start it up... The icon was green and I figured we were good. Then I tried to open up localhost and just get a 404 error: HTTP http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13932857/wamp-server-in-green-but-only-get-404 Error 404. The requested resource is not found. I have no clue why it's doing this, we were working fine 2-3 weeks ago and now nothing. Have any of you had the green icon but couldn't get any pages to come up? Where in the heck do I go because I'm beating my head against the wall here. Thanks in advance. php mysql apache wamp share|improve this question edited Jan 31 at 16:28 Andrew 2,5041939 asked Dec 18 '12 at 12:18 cschneider27 1391210 just try to reinstall wamp server again. –Yogesh Suthar Dec 18 '12 at 12:22 Did You try to reinstall WAMP? Didn't You accidentaly delete C:/wamp/www/ folder or all it contents (or at least C:/wamp/www/index.php)? Is http://localhost/phpmyadmin/ working at least? –shadyyx Dec 18 '12 at 12:24 I will try to re-install WAMP again to see what happens. I didn't delete anything, all of the files still live in C:/wamp/www/ as they should. localhost/phpmyadmin gives me a 404 as well... –cschneider27 Dec 18 '12 at 12:27 What do you see in the error log? Follow this step to see if you are experiencing the same problemMicrosoft-HTTPAPI/2.0? is set by default to use port 80 without configuration, so if you have installed MYSQL Server 2008, even if you uninstall the program, SQL Service and Usage Reporting may still be using port 80 on your computer. Check if your WampServer is running.2. If first choice didn't help, you can try to change port.Today is current version of apache 2.4.9 which take care of running php and we need to change config of apache in this location:C:\wamp\bin\apache\apache2.4.9\confFile which we are interested in is:httpd.confYou can download updated file here for apache 2.4.9: download>>If your version of apache is different, open file httpd.conf with any text editor and find line#Listen 12.34.56.78:80For me it's line 61.We need to changenext 2 lines - 62 and 63.Instead of port: 80 change it to port: 8080So you should have it like this:Listen 0.0.0.0:8080Listen [::0]:8080Now save file and restart your WampServer.Type into your browser http://localhost:8080 instead ofhttp://localhost and you should be good to go.
