top Tomcat Manager Application and HTTP 404 Error up vote 5 down vote favorite I am trying to set up the admin application for a Tomcat 6.0.24 instance. None of the searches I've done turn up anything I can use. I am using this configuration for Apache 2.2.14: Alias /manager /usr/share/tomcat6-admin/manager
This Site Careers Other all forums Forum: Tomcat HTTP Status 404 - Tomcat Manager Bhuvana Raj Ranch Hand Posts: 74 posted 10 years ago Hi Everybody, I am using Tomcat 5.5.When I Clicked Tomcat Manager tomcat error 404 resource not available in Tomcat's homepage ie., http://localhost:8080/, it shows HTTP Status 404 - /manager/html. Previously http 404 tomcat it worked fine. The username and password for tomcat manager is present in tomcat-users.xml file. Please help. Regards Bhuvana

When i clicked Tomcat Manager, it prompts for username and password. Exactly I don't know what had happened.Now, it says HTTP 404 error. Status, Tomcat Administration, Tomcat Manager are not working.When i clicked Status, it shows HTTP 404 Error. But in Tomcat Administration it shows Tomcat's administration web application is no longer installed by default. Download and install the "admin" package to use it. When i click rest of the links, it works fine. Could you please tell how to check the log? P

After coming to tomcat web applicaiton https://coderanch.com/t/87666/Tomcat/HTTP-Status-error-tomcat manager page i see a list of applications. These are sample web applications that came when tomcat was downloaded. Now my problem is When i click on any of those applications i get HTTP Status 404 - /examples/ type Status report message /examples/ description The requested resource (/examples/) is not available. 2. MYAPP is my application. I am trying to see the form.html(located in Tomcat 4.1\webapps\MYAPP). But i dont see MYAPP in tomcat manager at all. If anyone error 404 can suggest me what to do it would be great.
