From the Podcast page (for Comedy Central) in the iTunes Store, there is a link to the Comedy Central website, but (I looked) there is so much "stuff" on it that I couldn't see a "Contact Us" link.Alternatively, if you are unable to contact them, wait. Hopefully, someone else will manage to contact them and report the issue. Once they know about it, presumably they will fix it.Two epsiodes from the Ultima Thule Podcast were err-404 for three days. It's been fixed this morning and I'm currently downloading them.Crucially, this sort of problem is the responsiibilty of the Podcast producer, not iTunes or Apple, which is why I have made the suggestion above. Then it will download. I got the same error and realized my mistake. All of https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3541570?start=0&tstart=0 them work except one: With that one, new episodes are found, but every time I try to download one I get an exclamation point next to the name. If I copy the URL from the episode and paste it into a browser, I can download the file so I don't know why iTunes is failing. Is there a way to see an error message? I looked in Console and did not see anything. itunes podcasts share|improve this question asked Jan 5 '13 at 23:51 jalynn2 31128 add a comment| http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/76933/where-is-the-error-message-for-a-failed-podcast-download 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote accepted Yes, when you are downloading episodes in iTunes 11, this icon shows up: Click it and you can open your download progress: If downloading fails, an error message will show up to the right of the status bar with an error code. You can Google this code for info. In my experience, this downloader is very unreliable if you have anything else downloading at the same time, or if you allow simultaneous downloads, although if you allow simultaneous downloads it generally finishes quicker if there are no errors. share|improve this answer answered Jan 6 '13 at 2:43 Ben Mordecai 3081211 Thanks for the info. I am getting a 404 which I know is a "page not found" error. I believe the URL is correct, so the mystery deepens... –jalynn2 Jan 6 '13 at 2:55 Maybe iTunes has an old cached version of the RSS feed and the old version has a broken link that has since been corrected. Thus you can download it manually from a browser. Have you tried unsubscribing and resubscribing? –Ben Mordecai Jan 6 '13 at 2:57 Yes, I have deleted the podcast completely and then resubscribed. When I look at the rss.xml, I see 3 references to the url: in the tags link, guid and enclosure. The one in enclosure is not URL encoded and so has spaces within the URL instead of %20. The other two are fine. Do you know which one iTunes uses to do the download? –jalynn2 Jan 6

For example, here's iLounge's 404 page. Most likely, the podcast has been moved or deleted.
