the system up, I fed in the details of my Google account, and it merrily put my Gmail into the Mail app, and Notes also syncs. But, the Calendar app is giving me continual problems, with this same error message:"Your calendar couldn't be refreshed.The URL https://calendar.google.com/calendar/dav/richwilliamson@gmail.com/user///calendar.google.com/calendar/dav/richwilliamson@gmail.com/user/ encountered HTTP error 404. Make https://productforums.google.com/d/topic/calendar/7XZkRZzo10I sure the URL is correct."I've tried deleting and re-adding the Google calendar; the whole Google account; the iCloud account (because various fourms seem to think this is an issue) and none of it has helped.
