Try connecting to this computer using any standard Windows administrative tool (such as Computer Management, or Services), make sure that you are able to start/stop a services, enter Device Manager, Event Viewer sections. Join Now Alright, so, I've got Spiceworks set up to monitor all computers and some other devices on our domain. I've got one computer, however, that cannot be accessed by Spiceworks. I get the scan https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/335056-errors-accessing-a-domain-computer-remotely error, "No open ports for this device were found to be responding. This typically means that there is a firewall or permission issue preventing remote access." Now, the right account is assigned to this network scan, and all the other computers are fine, so I did some digging. I cannot manage the computer remotely from the management console, access it's shares, etc. I can ping the computer, and I can log in to it as error 5 administrator, but, well, here are the errors I get trying to do different things: When using the Computer Management Console: trying to access Services, I get "Windows was unable to open service control manager database on COMPUTER. Error 5: Access is denied." trying to access Disk Management: the usual "Disk Management could not start the Virtual Disk Service..." followed by Event Viewer: A security package specific error occurred(1825) trying to access Routing and Remote Access: "You error 5 access do not have permission..." and then a login window comes up, I enter the domain admin credentials I used with spiceworks account@domain, and get "The target account name is incorrect." Same if I enter domain\account. If I try my credentials, I get "The trust relationship bethween this workstation and the primary domain failed." trying to access Shared Folders: "You do not have permissions to see the list of shares for Windows clients." Trying to access \\computer\c$ from my workstation, I get "Windows cannot access \\computer\c$" ... "Error code: 0x80004005 Unspecified Error" The computer is set up to get an IP address from our DHCP server. The DHCP server has a reservation for all the domain computers based on MAC address. The reservation is active, and I can ping the computer with no issue. Remote registry, plug and play, wmi are all running on the remote machine. The firewall is turned off on all domain computers when they're on our network, and I checked that they were on this one. We use Panda AdminSecure, and I have no trouble administering the computer using the Panda console. Also, the computer is receiving WSUS updates, and is able to access other shares on the domain. I'm not sure what's up. Oh, the computer is running Windows 7 Pro. EDIT: All our servers are running Windows Server 2008
