Symptom Under File-Options-Addins in Excel, changing the path from bin\tm1p.xla to bin64\tm1p.xla only stayed error 53 in during that session. Closing and reopening Excel reverted the path back to bin\tm1p.xla. Cause Cached bin folder path in Excel. Environment TM1 10.2.2 64 bit Resolving the problem Solution was to rename the bin folder to binx so that the program could not find it and stayed with the configured bin64 path.
