While error code 628 vyprvpn Microsoft VPN solution would require CHAP, MSCHAP or better authentication protocol, when we had other clients, we had to lower password handshake protocol to "exchange passwords as clear text". Perhaps for starters, you can set your authentication protocol on Windows 7 to allow for unencrypted passwords (PAP). Also, while I appreciate the router providing the VPN is a 3rd party product, the error message I am receiving is a Windows error, which only effects this machine and no other, so I thought it was appropriate to log this issue here.
