I have three green lights, both when using usb or ethernet ( westell dual modem) and I can eventually connect, but several minutes later I will lose my connection or it will slow down to unusable. I have tried both the verizon dialer, and using the network connections through xp.Anyone have any ideas other than a full reinstall? If so, do a restore back to the time that it worked. I've fixed some connectivity issues this way before - however not the one that you're describing.Most of the time that error message indicates that your connection is actually trying to dial, which it definitely shouldn't. With a solid green ready light, the connection is obviously there, I just think that it's not looking properly. Manual Solution to fix Error 676 Dsl To resolve Error 676 Dsl, do the following. To start Device Manager, click Start, click Search programs and files, and then click Device Manager. A list of available error 676 matching items appears above the search box; click Device Manager. Device Manager opens with your computer name at the top and a list of devices that are installed on your computer beneath your computer name. Locate the malfunctioning device in the list of devices, right-click the device, and then click Uninstall. When a warning message appears that you are uninstalling a error 676 dsl device from your system, click OK. Device manager uninstalls the device. Right-click the computer name in Device Manager and click Scan for hardware changes. Device manager scans your system and automatically reinstalls your device. Right-click the device and click Properties. Pertains to: Error 602 - The Port Is Already Open Error 630 - The Port Was Disconnected Due To Hardware Failure Error 666 - Your Modem (or other connecting device) Is Not Functioning Restart the computer and try again. If you entered an init string for your modem, go back in to the Modem Control Panel, remove the init string and restart the computer. Make sure there are no programs on your computer that could be using your modem, such as fax software, Supervoice, etc. Hold the Ctrl and Alt keys down, and hit the Delete key on your keyboard. This will bring up the Close Program window. While in the Close Program window, look for something called RNAAPP, it might even be listed as RNAAPP.EXE. Click on it, then click the End Task button. If RNAAPP has stopped responding, it will display another window telling you so. If it appears, click End Task again. If RNAAPP has NOT stopped responding, no second window will appear.
