Just starting today it cannot

connect to a VPN server it has always been connecting to. User name and password are fine for I can connect

to the same server with another computer with the same user name. Nothing on the server side has been changed. No updates have been made on the client side either. It connects to the server and

errors out on verifying user name and password. A reset (power off and on) has been done to modem, router, and computer still with no success. Also no error in eventvwr are coming up during the process of failing. Firewall is also off on both the computer and router. VPN pass through is enabled on the Linksys router. Just for troubleshooting purposes I have enabled DMZ for the IP of this computer so all ports are open. Any other ideas of whats going on? However sure enough it was enabled when I decided to check it again. Good luck! Monday, August 05, 2013 7:36 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote No not for the VPN. All other certs expire in 2016. That has been done. I sit at my desk at home and attempt to connect as the VPN Client. My partner sits at his office where the VPN Server is, and we watch the packets come in. The connection progresses to the point where I get the message about "Verifying username and password". Then after a while I get Error 721. I am logged into my machine as the "vpnclient". The VPN Server has a User named "vpnclient" and has extended permission to that user to connect on the VPN. I have done this PPTP thing several times before so I believe we have everything set up correctly. I just wish Windows would give better diagnostics so I would not have to chase phantoms. You've done it before, so you know what needs to be done--what is different about the hardware/software in this set of links? "Bob" <> wrote in message news:... > On Mon, 2
