Go to the properties for the realterm.exe, compatability tab, and choose "Run this program as an administrator". This will bring up the UAC when the application is executed. When I got a dedupe error when logging on with a windows XP machine in the past i took these steps to resolve issue 1. added [My work error accessing domain]\Domain Admins group membership to the local (Users) group 2. Added [My work domain]\Domain Users group membership to the local (Administrators) group Restarted then re-logged in and all is well!!! Firstly I get this error message 'Deduplication COM Server has stopped working' then the error message in the title after I close the first error!!! Can anyone advise as to why I get this error accessing the problem and how to fix it..? I have searched TechNet and googled but there is very little information regarding the dedupe error. Please help!! Kind regards, Adge Friday, February 11, 2011 4:33 PM Reply | Quote All replies 0 Sign in to vote Hi Adge, When the issue occurred? Have you installed any software or update recently? I notice DeDupe is a duplicate file finder designed to analyze duplicate files and increase the hard disk space. It deletes duplicate files and compresses into a zip file. If you are using this program, I suggest perform a Clean Boot to check the result. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135 Also, please contact domain admin to check the issue.
