Did any of you ever have this and/or know a way around it? iMac Core 2 Duo, Mac OS X (10.4.7), no sound Posted on Sep 15, 2006 11:34 AM I have this question too Close Q: Core Audio Error Code -2 All replies Helpful answers by whisperycat, whisperycat Nov 26, 2006 3:54 AM in response to Ledward Level 1 (25 points) Nov 26, 2006 3:54 AM in response to Ledward Yikes, more audio woes. Between Friday and today (Sunday) my MiniMac has developped this exact same problem. I've installed nothing. The speaker icon spontaneously removed itself from the Finder bar, I reselected the checkbox to put it back and there it now is, but silence still reigns supreme. Audio worked fine after last weeks x11 updates. Firmware is up to date. Any ideas? I closed the MiniMac down, unplugged the mains cable, re-connected it, and re-booted. The boot up chime (previously absent) returned, and all audio was back to normal. Eh???? Pardon me if the subject i need help on has been discussed in previous forums from years back. I https://discussions.apple.com/thread/643977?start=0&tstart=0 use digi 001 w/ core audio in combination with logic 6.4. Hardware: DIGI 001 Computer: Mac G4 Software: LOGIC 6.4 BACKGROUND/OVERVIEW: Sometimes when switching back and forth between programs (such as ITunes and Logic 6.4) using core audio as external sound source, I run into the problem "ERROR CODE 25974 has been returned by CORE AUDIO DRIVER". I can play song with song position line scrolling but no sound comes http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=175947 out of monitors. I proceed to correct problem by closing all programs using CORE AUDIO and initiate CORE AUDIO again in LOGIC 6.4 audio driver section in the preferences section. I then recieve "ERROR CODE 2 has been returned by CORE AUDIO DRIVER" and still no sound from monitors. The only way for me to correct this problem is by restarting the computer. QUESTION: How do I return sound to monitors without restarting computer and/or how do I eliminate the error code 2? My first post here at Logic Pro Help. Nice to meet you all.So my problem right now seems to be a problem not very common around the internet. I have recently bought a Audio-Tech Mic from Long & Mcquade (music store.) I have also recently hooked up my Fast Track Pro to my Imac with XLR wires connecting the Rokit 8 speakers. The Imac is currently powering the FTP.Now onto the main problem (only told that other story just in case it effects this problem lol.) I recently opened up the current project i've been working on for quite some time now and whenever I open that project up or any other project, it gives me a error saying "error code -2 was returned by the audio driver logic."ALL of my instruments & plugins/inserts are crossed out and there is no audio when I play the track. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
