Bt Youview Error Codes
20h18 Our electric was switched off earlier today and now our BT Vision box won't work. This has happened before but we got it working after only a couple of tries. However, one of the Powerline Adapters just keeps flashing red up and down. This has never happened before and I'm wondering if its died. I really don't want to fork out £80 for a new one, especially bt email error codes after the problems we've had with this Vision box before.I have switched and unplugged everything about 5 times, so I don't think thats working! If anyone knows what to do, please reply! A great time for my box to go and die on me, during the World Cup. Message 1 of 4 (1,208 Views) Reply mcpaddy Aspiring Expert Posts: 229 Registered: 10-03-2010 0 Re: Error Message C01. There has been some issues with the comtrend adapters, if I was you I would ring bt to see if they will replace them for you as i'm sure they will if your still under contract with them Message 2 of 4 (1,178 Views) Reply stuartrogerson Guru Posts: 5,041 Registered: 27-01-2010 0 Re: Error Message C01. Not easy as the distance between them is usually longer than the lead, but moving them just made it possible. It booted immediately. When the box was up and running, I removed the ethernet lead and reconnected the powerline adaptors, and so far so good! Just recorded our first programme in weeksHope this helps someoneGary Message 1 of 2 (2,007 Views) Reply minusdot Recognised Expert Posts: 1,521 Registered: 03-02-2010 0 Re: Dreaded CO1 Message Solved - Unofficially [Edited] Options Mark as New Bookmark Subscribe Subscribe to this message's RSS Feed Highlight this Message Print Email this Message to a Friend Report Inappropriate Content 18-10-2010 7h49 - edited 18-10-2010 7h49 The C01 Error can happen for several different reasons.Your problemwas clearly justwith yourpowerline adapters.Byreverting to your disconnected/not-properly-connected state then you'll soon run into other problems like your EPG will become stale, you'll not be able to set up new recordings or delete old ones and of course VOD won't be available (probably get a V04) error.IMHO the best solution is to avoid powerline adapters altogether. As you can connect your box via the cable by moving them, then I'd suggestbuying a suitably long ethernet cable to connect them in their normal

Our broadband is https://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/freeview-145/177959-bt-vison-box-chipped-6.html now running fine. I went through the steps on BT's online help before phoning support - and it was India, not Newcastle as someone on an earlier thread said. Anyway, the guy had me go through a host of the usual checks error code before instructing me to reset the box. Still no joy - now an engineer will call (sometime). Not a happy bunny as I thought it would be quicker and more cost effective for them to dispatch a new box. Oh well, let's WAIT and see when we'll be reconnected. I take it that you have tried linking the Vision box direct to the hub and cutting out any powerline adapters and/or tried different cables? stewM View Public Profile Find More Posts by stewM 09-02-2011, 11:57 #5 intercept Forum Member Join Date: Mar 2006 Posts: 311 I'm in agreement with stewM - check your local connectivity From frequenting this forum and the BT one for a while it seems clear that CO errors are COnnection errors and they are sequential i.e. CO1 = box to hub (including powerline units), CO2 = box to server, CO3 = box to account. I've never heard of a CO4... 1) Switch off hub, powerline units & Vision box 2) Disconnect and reconnect all cables 3) Switch on the hub & wait 5 mins 4) Switch on the powerline units and wait for them to sync 5) then switch on the Vision box (not b
