Basically, I have a media centre PC that is rebooting at random intervals. It has no warning before hand, and just goes blank and restarts. I thought it could be an over-heating problem, however I have run speedfan to see what sort of temperatures it gets to and it averages around 40oc on the CPU, which to me seems fine? I've had a look through the event log, and there are a couple of entries after the reboot which seem interesting; although I haven't got a clue what they mean! I'll post those now, one sec. It all started when i opened up Mozilla thunderbird to check my email, then "Windows had to be shut down to prevent it from being damaged". It's never done this before. It's weird though, because it just takes a small crash, such as command and conquer renegade when it doesn't close properly, and i hav to reboot the computer, that the probs start. Different stop error messages occur, and the only way to stop them is to choose no page file, restart the comp, activate it again, and restart the comp again. I've used ewido anti malware and it didn't reelly find anything, only loads of tra
