Premiere Pro CC I get the messge "Error compiling movie. Unknown Error." Neither are working-This error compiling movie premiere pro cc 2015 has happened before on a friend's desktop. I was using his machine to edit on while I was in the process of building mine. He got the same error when I was trying to export. I restarted and the issue was fine. Restarting on my machine has not solved the issue. This leads me to think it is a bug in the program?-I have been running After Effects and it has worked flawlessly. Help!? Do this manually (as described below) or use Pirform's cCleaner to clear your temporary files automatically. You may need a larger HDD to export the file. Possible SolutionsEdit Mitch411.1 said: This error message used to be related to simply not having enough available disk space in CS3, but in CS4 it could be a lot of different issues. Do yourself a favor and verify that you do indeed have enough available disk space to render out an AVI file. Also, because the Adobe Media Encoder makes a copy of your project file to the Windows Temp folder, make sure that you've deleted all the accumulated junk out of the Temp directory. You can do this by typying%Temp% from the Run (XP) or Start Search (Vista) line. Select all the files in the Temp directory and delete them. You'll find that some files can't be deleted (because they're in use) but you should be able to get rid of 99% of them. {C}If this doesn't help, then you can try to troubleshoot your timelines and assets or try a work around. If exporting as AVI and using the Export of Encore feature failed, try exporting through AME using one of the
"unknown error" when compiling a project. You know, this ugly thing: The best way I've found to locate the offending clip when you're dealing with a particularly complex project is to attempt to export it as an AVI file. Once you've done that, it will either resolve the problem (and you can encode the exported uncompressed AVI as needed in handbrake or something else), or, it will quit prematurely without an error. However, the length of the AVI file will give you a very good idea of where the offending clip is. So for example, I had a complex project that was about 6 minutes 34 seconds in length. I was having a hard time finding the clip causing me grief so I exported it as an AVI file. When I did, it stopped well before finishing but didn't throw any errors. I opened the AVI file and it was 40 seconds long, roughly, though it was corrupt and wouldn't really play aside from the audio. Low and behold, it was a warp stabilized clip at 39ish seconds that was causing me trouble. Hope this helps you if you're currently pulling your hair out as I have many times. Nathan W.
