Unknown error." This message is generally followed by the error message, "Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current error compiling movie project." Most likely Solution Edit Clear you temporary folder. Do this manually (as described below) or use Pirform's cCleaner to clear your temporary files automatically. You may need a larger HDD to export the file. Possible SolutionsEdit Mitch411.1 said: This error message used to be related to simply not having enough available disk space in CS3, but in CS4 it could be a lot of different issues. Do yourself a favor and verify that you do indeed have enough available disk space to render out an AVI file. Also, because the Adobe Media Encoder makes a copy of your project file to the Windows Temp folder, make sure that you've deleted all the accumulated junk out of the Temp directory. You can do this by typying%Temp% from the Run (XP) or Start Search (Vista) line. Select all the files in the Temp directory and delete them. You'll find that some files can't be deleted (because they're in use) but you should be able to get rid of 99% of them. {C}If this doesn't help, then you can try to troubleshoot your timelines and assets or try a work around. If exporting as AVI and using the Export of Encore feature failed, try exporting through AME using one of the MPEG2 - DVD export presets (this would be the work around). Troubleshooting your timelines can b

I have a project I need to get finished and ran into a encoding/compiling error. Here's the deal: I am making a wedding video that I filmed. I would say 85% of it was shot onto mini HDV while the rest was done with a camera that uses AVCHD. The problem came when I exported the ceremony clip. We shot the ceremony with both cameras (both formats). CS4 let me bring import both into my timeline and i worked with both without a problem. Come time to encode and I get an "unknown error". I realized that it was saving the video up to the point where the AVCHD format first shows up. Sooo i copied my work and in the copy took out all the AVCHD material and walla .. it encoded. My question/problem: Is there any export settings or sequence settings that will allow me to have both formats in my timeline and still be able to encode the movie/scene? Or is this even my problem? Feel free to let me know what I am doing wrong or where imisspoke; I have been away from the movie editing hobby for a long time.. thanks, Bryan Posted: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 10:31pm Forum Tags:helpPremiereCS4encoding Log in or register to post comments bpachal Last seen: 6 years 10 months ago Joined: 12/03/2009 - 10:15pm n/m I was wrong about removing the avchd content.
