Error Contacting Apcupsd @ Localhost:3551: Connection Refused
Soy Ubuntu, No Foam Join Date Apr 2006 BeansHidden! Error contacting apcupsd @ localhost:3551: Connection refused Hi all, I am trying to get apcupsd going. I have installed it thru synaptic, set it up accordingly to the various guides one can find across the net. When I run "acpaccess" I get the following error. "Error contacting apcupsd @ localhost:3551: Connection refused" What, if anything, can I do to rectify the above situtation. I am on Ubuntu Lucid 10.04.2 Desktop. Thanks. Is the apcupsd daemon running? ps -ef | grep apcupsd If the daemon is running and you have the status file activated, you should get something like: (for a Dumb UPS) tgalati4@tubuntu2:~$ apcaccess APC : 001,020,0518 DATE : Fri Jun 03 13:17:51 PDT 2011 HOSTNAME : tubuntu2 RELEASE : 3.12.4 VERSION : 3.12
