Error Detected Retrieving Information Clearquest Database
subscription; user administration; MasterDataObject; 1124761 Technote (troubleshooting) Problem(Abstract) A "Error was detected retrieving information" error occurs in IBM Rational ClearQuest when checking database subscriptions for a user in a MultiSite installation. Symptom Here is the full text of the error message:
ERROR! An Error was detected retrieving information from the ClearQuest database.
There is a reference to an object that does not exist:
Object Type MasterDataObject
Object: nnnnnnnn
This error was detected at: ClearQuest Core:admasterdatamgr.cpp:2708
Resolving the problem This error is not a problem when it occurs in while checking database subscriptions for a user. It is an indication that the user is subscribed to a databases in the master site that has not been replicated to this new location. For example: Site 1 has a schema repository and 2 user databases, User1 and User2. Site 2 is a replica of Site1's schema repository and the User1 database. The schema repository and User1 database represents the replicated "family". A single user call CQUSER has permissions to both the User1 and User2 databases at Site 1. When the family User1 is replicated to the new site, the schema repository including all user database subscriptions is replicated as well. When attempting to view the database subscriptions for CQUSER at a replica, the error will be returned as CQUSER is subscribed to a database that does not exist in the replica. While this is not the best way to reflect this information, it is expected behavior. If both databases had been replicated, or if the CQUSER was only subscribed to User1, then there would be no error. Unanswered question This question has not been answered yet. Hello. In my schema, we have some hooks for the Close action. When I try to close an issue, I get the error below, but there is no reference to "FieldPath" in any hooks. I haven't been able http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21124761 to find out why it is crashing. The error happens with different users, not just my "admin" account. I've attached the function that is failing. Error: Error from RPC server: Server error: Unexpected exception: CRMUD0082E Execution of a hook failed during the action Incomplete. It was the ACTION_ACCESS_CONTROL hook attached to the ProductDefect "us00100019185". This is the accepted answer. It looks like that in the action access control hook your are trying get or set "CQ_Admin" field of the "Project" record type, which does not exist. Pavel More... Hi Thank you for looking at my post. I don't have a field called CQ_Admin anywhere. That's the odd part. I've attached my "ProductDefect" record type field list, and the "Project" record type field list. Regards. Attac
