I pm-4-err_disable channel-misconfig stp kept getting these errors %PM-4-ERR_DISABLE: channel-misconfig (STP) error detected on Po13, putting Gi0/17 in err-disable state I am being alerted to theerrors by the following default command spanning-tree etherchannel guard misconfig I concentrated on getting s1-s2 to come together. I had configured vlan 1 to be the STP root to complete lab 1.9 - it seems that etherchannel does not like this. I removed this config, re-enabled my port channel on both sides and it came up. Now I thought this was because etherchannel likes everything to be the same and as vlan 1wasSTP root just for vlan 1 andnot the others it might have caused a conflict. I changed the config to make SW1 the root for all vlans but again this caused the etherchannel to go into an error disabled state. Not sure about this! Solved Cisco 6500 Errdisable Posted on 2013-10-09 Switches / Hubs Networking Protocols Network Architecture 1 Verified Solution 14 Comments 1,387 Views Last Modified: 2014-05-29 I have a Cisco 6513 switch connected over a LACP port channel to a Huawei 9312 swich. The LACP group is 2 10GB fiber optic connections. This link ran fine for 3 months and then started having issues and going into errdisable state. The errdisable log shows it as a channel-misconfig. I have now set the 6513 to recover the link automatically after 30 seconds. I tried to turn off detection for it, however that is not an option for the particular error. Below is my configuration for both sides. There are 2 physical ports in the channel. Does anyone have any thoughts that would cause this to suddenly be a problem?
