Join Date Sep 2011 Beans 65 DistroXubuntu 16.04 Xenial Xerus PDFs with Video give "A 3D data parsing error has occurred" I have been sent some pdfs with embedded video. When I open them with Adobe Reader 9.5.5 I get the message "A 3D data parsing error has occurred". I have seen previous (older) posts on the web stating that this is a known problem. I have tried okular, but it does not seem to notice that there is a video in the pdf. Are there any other solutions? I have no idea what format the video is in. My 64-bit 12.04 system seems to be able to play most stand-alone (i.e. not embedded) videos that I have tried. Last edited by pastim; August 30th, 2013 at 10:50 AM. Sean O'Neill Aug 6, 2014 4:43 PM (in response to Erica Huggins) Hey Erica,Data parsing errors, in my experience, naturally result from a program's inability to read the data, or a general problem with the data itself.More often than not, using a previous/newer version of Acrobat has resolved the issue if it's a program-specific issue. Have you tried other 3D PDF viewers, or Acrobat on another machine as a sanity check?Hope this helps!-Sean Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions Re: 3D PDF Error...Has anyone seen this before? Todd Barnett Aug 6, 2014 4:51 PM (in response to Sean O'Neill) I've tried it on two different computers, and send the file to a colleague to test, and same error message on all 3 computers. The weird part is that is was working great all day, and then after the 4th or 5th attempt to save as a 3D PDF, we go the error message.
