our sites to SharePoint 2013. Also excited to upgrade my desktop to ssrs an error has occurred with the data fetch Windows 8.1 and IE 11. Only to be hit with reality. Anytime I attempt to author or administer enable dom storage any of my SharePoint 2013 sites with IE 11, I get the following error: An error has occurred with the data fetch. Please refresh the page and retry. First off, https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/5488436c-c6c8-4cf5-92f6-d0fd28a251ca/an-error-occurred-with-data-fetch-please-refresh-the-page-and-retry-when-open-sharepoint-2013?forum=sharepointadmin I recommend you run IE 11 in compatibility mode. That will fix some of the issues with SharePoint 2013 authoring and aesthetics. To run IE 11 in compatibility mode: Choose ALT-T Click Compatibility View Settings Add the current site to your compatibility view Choose OK I will be the first to say that this does not work for me. I hope http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/rhutton/archive/2014/01/08/sharepoint-2013-compatibility-with-ie-11-and-server-2012-r2/ it works for you. I will be eagerly anticipating SP1 and using Chrome for all of my administrative needs until then. on August 25, 2014 by Adam Timmerman Twice in the last couple of weeks I have encountered the error message An error has occurred with the data fetch. Please https://sharepointandstuff.wordpress.com/2014/08/25/sharepoint-2013-an-error-has-occurred-with-the-data-fetch/ refresh the page and retry. This dialog box would pop up any time http://www.enjoysharepoint.com/Articles/Details/an-error-has-occurred-with-the-data-fetch-please-refresh-21475.aspx I tried to select a drop down menu. I received it when trying to open the Actions menu for the site, but seemed to occur for any drop down. The first time this occurred it was in a SharePoint 2013 farm that had just been replicated to a lab environment for error has testing an Active Directory upgrade. Since I did not realize what this error was, we simply recopied the farm and the issue went away. The next time it occurred I tried rebooting the servers, checking the ULS logs, event viewer, etcetera without success. Eventually I realized this was only happening for me and not other users. After that it was simple to determine that error has occurred clearing the browser cache fixed this issue. Share this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading...
