on Nov 13, 2015 3:37 PM by joela80221699 Please Help!! "A File I/O Error Has Occurred" every time I try to save... (Paul_A_Clark) Sep 24, 2008 11:25 AM I'm working on a postcard design an i/o error has occurred on file for print purposes with several embedded images and text elements. I've saved successfully several times early on, but suddenly, every time I attempt to save, I get the message "A File I/O Error Has Occurred". I need to get this to the printer, but can't make important changes now. HELP! Thanks, paul 48618Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. When I saved it to my mac's hard drive, no problem. Is there a short answer to why that happens? I didn't appear to be out of space on the external drive... How do I fix this problem???? It gives an I/O error. There doesn't appear to be a way to predict which files will cause problems. I've had it happen & not happen with all AppleWorks file types. There is no way to open them with AppleWorks 6.2.9. These files can be opened by any other version of AppleWorks 6 so I usually recommend AppleWorks 6.2.4 for anyone who might have a need to open older files. Would that help me in this situation? If so, how does it work? I have been dragging a file to the repair utility but nothing ever happens. Thanks so much.
