TheGuyWithTheFace Member Registered: 2012-12-09 Posts: 108 [Solved] Eclipse Not Starting After updating Eclipse to Luna, I was able to start Eclipse fine once, but the second time https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=184260 and from thence onward I am not able to get it to work. (I can't remember if I saw another update to eclipse or not.) The Eclipse splash screen pops up for a few seconds, then is replaced with an error dialog with the following message: "An error has occurred. See the log file/home/user/.eclipse/org.eclipse.platform_4.4.0_1543616141_linux_gtk_x86_64/configuration/1405349955456.log."The error log error has output is here:http://pastebin.com/RcMfMdwFAt first I thought it might have been a plugin that broke, so I uninstalled all my Eclipse plugins and reinstalled Eclipse, no dice.Edit: Slight formatting difficulties. I started a bug report for it, it can be found here: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/41210 Offline #3 2014-07-25 19:09:55 TheGuyWithTheFace Member Registered: 2012-12-09 Posts: 108 Re: [Solved] Eclipse Not Starting Ah, I got it. When I tried reinstalling eclipse, I forgot to remove my .eclipse folder. Removing ~/.eclipse and *then* reinstalling solved the problem.
