PSP has a firmware of 1.5, and I definitely don't want to mess with that, but I want to try to go online with my PSP. I used to think that if I went online, it would automatically upgrade the firmware, so I didn't even consider trying to go online. But I've heard that's not the case. I've heard you can go online and avoid having your firmware updated. Anyways, I followed the instructions in the manual and entered in all the information, but I'm not sure if it's working or not. You know that http://forums.gamesquad.com/archive/index.php/t-50445.html point in the WLAN Settings when you do a "scan", for it to check for the wireless signal? Well, that part works fine, it sees my router and then I select it but then at the point when you save your settings and you do a "test connection", it says this A connection error has occurred (80410D09) So I get this error, but then, when playing Wipeout, I click on http://forum.digitpress.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-85138.html "multiplayer", and then I click on "join game", I select my ship, and then it says ... "searching for multiplayer games...." So it seems like it's connecting somehow, but it never finds any multiplayer games. I'm not sure if this is because nobody is playing Wipeout anymore, or if my PSP isn't really online at all. Is there another way I can test this while not having to worry about accidently upgrading my firmware beyond 1.5? Joker T06-01-2006, 06:55 PMWow I didnt even know Wipeout had online multiplayer.
