Cadlink has just emailed me my license files, but I am checking this first incase I need to resolve this issue before I download my license files. When I installed the Signlab, I waited until after the installation to plug in the dongle, just like it says to do, but I still got this message, "Error in Locating Security Device" then I clicked OK, & another window popped up that said, "Please replace security device" & it shut the whole thing down! Can any of you help me please? The administrator has disabled public write access. "Error in Locating Security Device" 1 year 1 month ago #5137 Bobbie Offline New Member Posts: 2 Karma: 0 Hello? Can someone please help me? I am at a stand still until I can get my Signlab going. Every time I have had to get a new computer, or reinstall my Signlab it has been a nightmare. Does it have to be? 7, 2011, 10:52 AM Tweet Customer is receiving “error locating security device” message in the program. This is caused by the orange security key (Dongle) not being in https://www.cadlink.com/index.php/en/infosource-forum-tutorials-tips-tricks/cadlink-s-forum/signlab/4819-error-in-locating-security-device the computer either upon program launch or while working in the program, it was removed. Every so often this also occurs when the dongle is not functioning correctly. Solution: First make http://support.screenprinting.com/entries/20429198-Receiving-Error-Locating-Security-Device- sure the dongle is working- this is done by ensuring the small green light on the end of the dongle is a solid green. Have the customer close the program after saving their image, and then remove the dongle. Ask the customer to insert the dongle into the same drive. If the customer receives a pop up showing the removal drive, commonly the (F) drive, the dongle is working. If the dongle is working, restart the program and notify us if the error occurs. Isaacs New MemberJoined:Oct 19, 2010Messages:2Likes Received:0 I am having problems installing a copy of Signlab ES2 on a new Sony laptop I have recently bought with Windows 7 x64. At the end of the installation I get the error message “The program can’t start because ntvdm.exe is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem” . After the computer has restarted Signlab opens normally and the HASP dongle is recognised by the computer. As soon as I start using Signlab it kicks me out with the error message “ERROR LOCATING SECURITY DEVICE: 1” – it seems that Signlab cannot find the HASP dongle. I have reinstalled the program many times and updated the driver for the HASP dongle. I have run all the updates from Window and Sony Vaio – and still the same errors. I have tried running the program in several compatibility modes - Window XP (SP2), Windows XP (SP3), Windows 2000 and Windows 98 – and still the same pr
