hostname of the server being called. If you get a message stating that the socket was closed, make sure that the server is listening on the port being called by the ORB client, that there are no firewalls blocking the remote port, or that security is not closing the socket because of an SSL problem. This technote explains how to configure the common network errors ORB when a firewall is being used. No, continue to the next question. 1. Does your ORB request fail during serialization or deserialization? Yes, is the remote ORB a 3rd party ORB? If so, you will need to find out if it is supported for use with WebSphere Application Server by visiting the detailed system requirements page for your release. If this is an IBM ORB, make sure you are using the same SDK level as the server (for example: 1.4.2) to avoid interoperability issues. No, continue to the next question. 1. Are you having a performance problem with ORB traffic? Yes, disable ORB fragmentation which can provide better performance for large ORB messages. If disabling fragmenting does not resolve the slow performance, check the operating system for TCP/IP errors or network problems using ping (latency). No, continue to the next question. 1. Do you get an org.omg.CORBA.COMM_FAILURE exception when making ORB calls? Yes, COMM_FAILURES are typically seen when there has been a network problem or if the remote server is not running. An IOR can contain a stale hostname or por

Everything works fine, I can start the agent and https://answers.dynatrace.com/questions/141127/error-in-wildfly-9-when-trying-to-create-new-senso.html get Transactions for normal Webrequests. Now I want to create Sensor which should be an entry point for a Java Class. The Client says that everything was successful, but I am getting no Purepathes for that new Sensor. It fails with an error but it also happens in standalone mode. Steps to reproduce: 1. edit the wildfly standalone-full.xml and computer error messages replace the iiop-openjdk configuration from the template in legacy/jacorb resources (with the socket-bindings too):

I would like to see which other processes are registered to a given one. I do know, that there are three tools within the JRE. servertool, orbd and tnameserv but either I didn't use them properly or they are not the right tools. Additional Information: The program is started with -ORBInitialPort 1234 Execute orbd -ORBInitialPort 1234 -> Returnes an error due to already in use ( yes fine, because the application is running ) same with tnameserv. But if I use servertool -ORBInitialPort 1234, no errors occur. But if I type "list" on the command prompt or another command, it will always return an empty list. You need to obtain the NamingContextExt. It has methods to iterate through all existing bindings as well as to resolve objects by name. When you start a tnameserv tool, it prints for you IOR - this is CORBA URL. You can get the CORBA object (name service including) from any ORB in the world if it is accessible through network and you supply the IOR: public static void main(String args[]) throws Exception { ORB orb = ORB.init(args, null); // pass the IOR as command line parameter for this program String ior = args[0]; org.omg.CORBA.Object objRef = orb.string_to_object(ior); NamingContextExt nameService = NamingContextExtHelper.narrow(objRef); // Now you can work with your naming service. } See here for tutorial on
