I have a problem when trying mounting, checking my ext3 partition. Is a external HD with my "portable" Linux system. days ago, I only started getting this problem today. After a very short amount of time being logged in, 2 of my hard drives stop working. I have 5 750GB hard https://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-1470970.html drives, 1 has / and swap on it, the others are for data, but I am only using the first to at the moment. Nautilus shows no files in these 2 hard drives, but the http://www.pclinuxos.com/forum/index.php?topic=108096.0 other 2 are fine, as is the system disk. Either that or the system is not able to correctly determine the size of the media.lsusb reports Device/ Vendor ID 0011:7788fdisk -l causes the terminal to freeze.Gparted just scans for devices for ever and I have to close it.Dmesg output, for the device only, shows it is seen as:Code: [Select]usb 4-1.3: New USB device found, idVendor=0011, idProduct=7788

The device works fine on a Windblows (TM) system and on my DVD player but does not work on any Linux distro here at all, eg Mint, Buntu, PCLOS.
