Raptr Error On Shutdown
Advertisement JohnRoll Thread Starter Joined: Nov 14, 2004 Messages: 8 I recently came across an explorer.exe error on shutdown odd problem. When windows XP would be shutdown an end program(sample.exe) error window would pop up,,and the shutdown would hang until the user skype error on shutdown clicked end program tab.For some reason reinstalling the wireless network card (intel) and going through the setup corrected this issue. I have ran accross this problem twice now. Does anyone know what could be causing this,,and what the program http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/on-shutdown-an-end-now-message-pops-up-with-dll/8af559b5-2586-49df-884f-ec3ae26e5ee4 sample.exe is? It didnt show up in taskmanager,,and all startup and non-microsoft related service were disabled via msconfig. Any information on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Actually I got a new hard disk. I discovered that I have the "sample.exe" problem cropping up everytime I try to shutdown. I followed the previous advice by running the [emailprotected] Removal Tool that you recommended, but unfortunately the program keeps crashing during scanning. I've tried running the program under Safe Mode, but to no avail. It still crashes. Currently my computer is running on WindowsXP with Service Pack 3. I am using AVG Anti-virus software, and it doesn't pick up any abnormal program. So now I'm still stuck with the "sample.exe" problem. Please help. Thank you. saucyminx, Aug 15, 2008 #4 Mega Tron Joined: Jul 14, 2007 Messages: 242 Go into add/remove programs and remove any programs you don't recognize. If you are just wanting to auto end a task, there is a registry edit for it. Go to Start>Run Type in the text box : regedit [HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop] "AutoEndTasks" Double click and change this from 0 to 1 Mega Tron, Aug 15, 2008 #5 saucyminx Joined: Aug 15, 2008 Messages: 5 I've followed your instructions, but still the same problem saucyminx, Aug 15, 2008 #6 Mega Tron Joined: Jul 14, 2007 Messages: 242 1.Do you have a restore point before the problem started occurring?? 2.Click start --> Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs and run the uninstallation of the Int

Report • #1 Derek November 27, 2011 at 16:35:30 One quick thing you could try:Type this in the Run box and hit Enter key:sfc /scannowSee if it sorts out the issue after it has run through. Note that there is one space in the command (after sfc).Always pop back and let us know the outcome - thanks Report • #2 Brey November 28, 2011 at 08:23:55 Hi Derek,Thanks for getting back to me. I ran the scan as you said and there doesn't seem to be any issues with the original windows protected files. Is the scan supposed to end without giving a report if everything is working properly? Anyhow, I am still having the same issue when I shutdown my computer. Do you have anymore suggestions? Again, thanks so much for your assistance.Brey Report • #3 Derek November 28, 2011 at 09:43:34 No, it just does its thing, fixes where necessary, then closes.Someone might have some ideas on this but there is a workaround that might get it out of your hair. It comes from Microsoft and prevents things that hang up during shut down. You can get it here:http://ww
