Receiving this error in MS Event Viewer on recently installed Sparkle 9800GTX+ PCI-E Video Card on each startup. PSU is Corsair 650W PSU, plenty of power on 12V+ single rail. Cleaning with Driver Sweeper tool and reinstall of display driver, error still remains. Card gpu temp is 41 C (105 F) at idle using CPUID Hardware Monitor. Card fan at 40% at idle. Getting infinite loop error on a Painkiller game (perfect visual) after one hour of gaming. Trine demo game runs perfect. Majesty 2 demo, textures are all wrong. Would a video card bios flash help? Where to find updated bios for 9800GTX+ card. Cooling problem? Previous onboard graphics visuals were perfect, no errors whatsoever on any game or any event ID errors. Using latest version of Nvidia display drivers 190.62. Will try 190.38 version. Last edited by Ladron De La Noche; 6th Oct 2009 at 05:28. Then install the latest WHQL driver and reboot. If the above dosent fix it then its either the game, or the card, or possible the PSU. I got my 460 GTX in late August '10 and, when playing SC2, soon saw this error accompanied by an Nvidia infinite loop error and a Windows blue screen error. After doing some research I updated my motherboard bios and the problem disappeared... until the first time I tried out SC2 with the new 1.1.2 patch. I monitor my vid card with EVGA Precision and temps are ok: under 80C when playing SC2. When the freeze happens (usually after ~10 minutes of running an SC2 map/replay), SC2 freezes for 10 seconds or so then an error box pops up saying that the Nvidia driver has failed... if I press ok I am returned to the desktop at minimum resolution and garbled colors and see that SC2 is still running. If I try to close the SC2 process in any way the comp freezes for an indete

I am successfully using the file shares, remote access and back up. However, since the beginning I have not been able to keep access to the server overnight. I wake up in the a.m. and the connection to the server has been lost. In order to regain connection I have to reboot the server. It's pretty frustrating. I have tried re-installing the connector software and updating both the console and client pc's. I have a suspicion that it has something to do with the back up function because occasionally my wife's pc will not back up. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks, Jacob Friday, May 15, 2009 1:33 PM Reply | Quote Answers 1 Sign in to vote I would have suspicions of the network driver or the network shutting down on power management. Does the server stay connected all day long?? Sometimes, a cheap network card in the server will be the best answer rather than running a built in LAN connection. Make sure it's a server driver installed too. That might get you headed in the right direction. More hardware info would help too. Have you tried disabling backups for your wife's PC,. or for all pcs, to see if your suspicion is correct?I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :) Friday, May 15, 2009 3:07 PM Reply | Quote Moderator 1 Sign in to vote I would have suspicions of the network driver or the network shutting down on power management.
