I tried to follow the suggested article about “Windows is unable to install drivers for the USB Bluetooth adapter”, but the issues still persists. Attached please find the setupapi.dev.log file, and other informations as follows. posible. About 4 days ago, I pulled up my processor monitors(widget) because my system was freezing https://forum.kaspersky.com/lofiversion/index.php/t141734.html up. I noticed that ANY file/program was using close to 100% CPU (I have a Quad core system)So when I went to sytem properties, it said something like Core http://forum.sysinternals.com/closed-fail-to-install-network-adapters_topic30825.html 2 Quad CPU Q8300 @ 2.50GHz, 2493 Mhz, 1 Core(s), 1 Logical Processor(s)That I thought was odd. So I look at device mgr and I could see them error on all-running fine.As I was there, I noticed my network adapters....all 13! of them!(11 were hidden) along with numerous devices....usb controllers, blah blah. Obviously, curiosity took over. As I started digging, I ran across a .txt log from an overwrite install. (I can post if needed) Whatv I found in there was that all my network drivers, as well as error on dif_destroyprivatedata MANY others had been replaced. With items like RAS Asyncmac Adapter, Lanman workstation( NOT ON A NETWORK)Even my disc drivers.__Small Sample___[DIF_DESTROYPRIVATEDATA - PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_954F&SUBSYS_24621682&REV_00\4&27CBD4F0&0&0008]>>> Section start 2009/05/24 00:17:36.568 cmd: "C:\Windows\System32\DeviceProperties.exe" 132048 "PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_954F&SUBSYS_24621682&REV_00\4&27CBD4F0&0&0008" dvi: Class installer: Enter 00:17:36.569 dvi: Class installer: Exit dvi: Default installer: Enter 00:17:36.569 dvi: Default installer: Exit<<< Section end 2009/05/24 00:17:36.570<<< [Exit status: SUCCESS (DI_DO_DEFAULT)]FFW a day... My system blue screened. Recovered it, but my profile/desktop had changed. Minor things..(wallpaper for one)Then I found like 17 svchost.exe running.Ran Malware(its now dead) and found Malware Bytes HKEY Mod.Malware had allowed permissions for KillDisc app??? Whatever that is. Today I come home, and cant connect to web. Checked adapters...all had new names, and 6to4 was totally gone. When I reinstalled the drivers from Vista disc, It was overwritten almost instantly, and noy I have no access to some files.(access restricted) and there a Desktop.ini file ON my desktop. I tried killing it with Revo...get this...I pointed Revo at ITSELF! I was chasing the icon with my mouse. yeah, funny, but not. Thanks ab

The drivers are the right ones that come with the adapters. I succeeded to install both of these adapters on a different computer. Each time, Windows says that the driver is the right one for the adapter but a file is missing. After a look in the setupapi.dev.log file, it seems that the Class Installer failed. Here are the error in the log file :!!! dvi: Class installer: failed(0x00000002)! dvi: {DIF_INSTALLDEVICE - exit(0x00000002)} 11:42:30.197!!! ndv: Error(00000002) installing device!I tried to :- use the sfc /SCANNOW command => it didn't fix it.- to uninstall all of unused USB device (bluetooth, data acquisition devices, ...) => it didn't fix it.- to remove the CONFIG key in the registry (http://forum.sysinternals.com/solved-driver-install-error-class-installer_topic17609.html) => it didn't fix it.The weird thing is that I also tried to install a virtual network adapter using the microsoft in-store driver and it failed for the same reason. Like if I can install any new network adapter.I've been searching on google for a solution but with no success.Does anyone have an idea about how to fix it ?Thanks in advanceAlex.here is the whole setupapi.dev.log file :[Device Install Log] OS Version = 6.1.7601 Service Pack = 1.0 Suite = 0x0100 ProductType = 1 Architecture = amd64[BeginLog][Boot Session: 2014/09/30 11:35:59.125]>>> [SetupCopyOEMInf - C:\Windows\system32\netathurx.inf]>>> Section start 2014/09/30 11:42:29.433 cmd: C:\Windows\Temp\temp\InstallIMD64.exe -o C:\Windows\system32\netathurx.inf sto: {Import Driver Package: C:\Windows\system32\netathurx.inf} 11:42:29.449 sto: Importing driver package into Driver Store: sto: Driver Store = C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore (Online | 6.1.7601) sto: Driver Package = C:\Windows\system32\netathurx.inf sto: Architecture = amd64 sto: Locale Name = neutral sto: Flags = 0x00000020 sto: Copying driver package files to 'C:\Users\agambier\AppData\Local\Temp\{325f5c6e-1d10-0013-b7dc-b254a38fe462}'. inf: Opened INF: 'C:\
