When she or I run the zerocombine task, this is what we get: zerocombine List of zero level images to combine: ccd0009c1.fits,ccd0008c1.fits ERROR: No images to combine "pclip=pclip, grow=0)" line 47: ccdred$zerocombine.cl called as: `zerocombine ()' I tried fiddling with the ccdtype parameter, but that didn't help.Any ideas? Thanks again! Otherwise, things depend on the cctdype header keyword and/or the task parameter. Note that SETINSTRUMENT can be used to modify the image header keyword translations.-Mike Profile Email Quote edmeades 10/24/2007 05:29PM Newbie Status: offline Registered: 05/17/2007 Posts: 9 Okay, I tried that and I get this: ccdred> zerocombine List of zero level images to combine: ccd0008c1.fits,ccd0009c1.fits ERROR: segmentation violation "pclip=pclip, grow=0)" line 47: ccdred$zerocombine.cl called as: `zerocombine ()' I should be using a comma to separate the filenames, right? Profile Email Quote fitz 10/24/2007 05:29PM Admin Status: offline Registered: 09/30/2005 Posts: 3903 A comma to separate files is correct. Can other tasks like IMSTAT or IMHEAD open the images properly? Any chance of a permissions problem or a malformed FITS file?-Mike Profile Email Quote edmeades 10/24/2007 05:29PM Newbie Status: offline Registered: 05/17/2007 Posts: 9 The odd thing is that another of my users can do the zerocombine on the images, so there's some environment setting that I just don't know.We tried copying the iraf environment from the user that works to the one that doesn't, but that didn't work,
image.png Or it can be complex with a plethora of options, as in the following: convert label.gif +matte \ \( +clone -shade 110x90 -normalize -negate +clone -compose Plus -composite \) \ \( -clone 0 -shade 110x50 -normalize -channel http://www.imagemagick.org/script/command-line-processing.php BG -fx 0 +channel -matte \) \ -delete 0 +swap -compose Multiply -composite button.gif"); This example command is long enough that the command must be written across several lines, so we formatted it for clarity by inserting backslashes (\). The backslash is the Unix line-continuation character. In the Windows shell, use a carat character (^) for line-continuation. We use the Unix style on these web pages, as above. Sometimes, however, the error on lines are wrapped by your browser if the browser window is small enough, but the command-lines, shown in white, are still intended to be typed as one line. Line continuation characters need not be entered. The parentheses that are escaped above using the backslash are not escaped in Windows. There are some other differences between Windows and Unix (involving quotation marks, for instance), but we'll discuss some of those issues later, error on line as they arise. Without knowing much about the ImageMagick command-line, you can probably surmise that the first command above converts an image in the JPEG format to one in the PNG format. However, very few may realize the second, more complex command, gives a flat two-dimensional label a three-dimensional look with rich textures and simulated depth: Here we show percent completion of a task as a shaded cylinder: Given the complexity of the rendering, you might be surprised it is accomplished by a single command-line: convert -size 320x90 canvas:none -stroke snow4 -size 1x90 -tile gradient:white-snow4 \ -draw 'roundrectangle 16, 5, 304, 85 20,40' +tile -fill snow \ -draw 'roundrectangle 264, 5, 304, 85 20,40' -tile gradient:chartreuse-green \ -draw 'roundrectangle 16, 5, 180, 85 20,40' -tile gradient:chartreuse1-chartreuse3 \ -draw 'roundrectangle 140, 5, 180, 85 20,40' +tile -fill none \ -draw 'roundrectangle 264, 5, 304, 85 20,40' -strokewidth 2 \ -draw 'roundrectangle 16, 5, 304, 85 20,40' \( +clone -background snow4 \ -shadow 80x3+3+3 \) +swap -background none -layers merge \( +size -font Helvetica \ -pointsize 90 -strokewidth 1 -fill red label:'50 %' -trim +repage \( +clone \ -background firebrick3 -shadow 80x3+3+3 \) +swap -background none -layers merge \) \ -insert 0 -gravity center -append -background white -gravity center -extent 320x200 \ cylinder
