Answer Check the Ports= line of the notes.ini and remove any ports that are not necessary. For example, if only TCPIP is used, the line should look like: Ports=TCPIP Check the Server document -> Ports tab, to ensure TCPIP is enabled. You must restart the Domino server or perform the following steps. In order to avoid having to restart the server: Confirm the Server document -> Ports tab -> Notes Network Ports tab. If using TCPIP and not NETBIOS, then they should be enabled and disabled respectively. From the Administrator client, stop the NETBIOS port. (Server tab -> Status tab -> Server Tasks -> select the appropriate task and then choose Tools -> Ports -> Stop). Sounds like you've got a port that is configured for netbios enabled. You can shut that port off at the console by typing: tell portname stop http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/DateAllFlatweb/9056074fb8db41bc85256db70070096a?OpenDocument to restart: tell portname start But that's just a temporary way to fix it. You should be able to tweak the config document if it's specificying something that the system can't use. Return to top Error on Listen function: NETBIOS u... (Petson Chan 6.Oct.03) . . If that's true, then: - stop the Domino server - open notes.ini - look for the line starting with PORTS= - remove the word LAN from that line - save and close - restart the Domino server 0 Write Comment First Name Please enter a first name Last Name Please enter a last name Email We will never share this with anyone.
